The Karoo farm is situated 50km outside Cradock in the Eastern Cape of South Africa nestled in the Bankberg Mountains. The current size of the farm is 2700 hectors and has a big beautiful old farm house that has been upgraded with all the fittings to make modern day living comfortable. The house has five bedrooms with on suite bathrooms. The best part of the house is the old porch where you can sit and overlook the river and the mountains behind it and just completely relax in the tranquillity of the country. There is also a two bedroom cottage that is near the main house.
In 2015 we built a new game lodge with four bedrooms that have on suite bathrooms. The Game Lodge is situated in one of the game camps out in the bush. In 2017 we purchased a new farm to increase the size of the game caring capacity so more animals can be added. The Blue Wildebeest was added to the new farm in July 2017 and other species sfter that. A new 2.4 meter game fence was started at the new farm in September 2017 and about 10km needs to be put up. Subsequently the new game fence was completed.
The farm is a fully operational live stock farm that can have up to 200 hundred head of cattle and 1200 sheep on it. In 2016 we purchased our first WAGYU cattle bull and 20 of the farms cows where selected to bread with the new Bull. The irrigated lands make up 100 hectors of Lucerne and various types of grasses and feed for the farm animals. All live stock naturally feed off the farm land and from the fields when necessary. The irrigated lands are all watered by automated watering systems that include two watering pivots.
The farm is also equipped with a butchery with two 2m x 2m walk in cooler.
It has buildings that can house many trucks and vehicles and also has
many barns and out buildings. There are eight horses on the farm that
